Dr. Anthony Fauci

NIAID Director, 1984–2022

Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for 38 years. Central figure in both the AIDS and COVID-19 responses. Testified before Congress multiple times. Documentary evidence contradicts several sworn statements regarding gain-of-function funding, record deletion, and staff conflicts of interest.

Dr. David Morens

Senior Advisor to Fauci at NIAID

Fauci’s longtime senior scientific advisor. Congressional investigation revealed he systematically evaded FOIA using personal Gmail, “learned how to make emails disappear,” and told contacts “Tony doesn’t want his fingerprints on origin stories.” Subject of criminal referral to DOJ by Sen. Rand Paul. Testified before the Select Subcommittee in May 2024.

Dr. Peter Daszak

President, EcoHealth Alliance

Led EcoHealth Alliance, the nonprofit that received NIAID grants and sub-awarded ~$599,000 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for bat coronavirus research including chimeric virus construction. The Select Subcommittee’s final report concluded EcoHealth “used U.S. taxpayer dollars to facilitate dangerous gain-of-function research in Wuhan.”

Dr. Francis Collins

NIH Director, 2009–2021

Director of the National Institutes of Health during the pandemic. Participated in the February 2020 discussions about COVID origins. Fauci instructed Collins to “please delete this e-mail after you read it” in correspondence obtained through congressional investigation (released September 2025).

Sir Jeremy Farrar

Director, Wellcome Trust (now WHO Chief Scientist)

Organized the February 1–2, 2020 teleconference with Fauci and Collins about COVID origins. Told Fauci he was “honestly at 50” on natural-vs-lab origin. Despite significant involvement in the “Proximal Origin” paper, he went uncredited. Congressional investigators documented his role in shaping the natural-origin narrative.

Greg Folkers

Chief of Staff to Dr. Fauci

Fauci’s chief of staff who was found to have deliberately misspelled keywords in official emails so they would not be captured during FOIA keyword searches. This tactic ensured his communications about sensitive topics would not be identified as responsive documents to public records requests.

Dr. Kristian Andersen

Virologist, Scripps Research

Emailed Fauci on January 31, 2020 that the SARS-CoV-2 genome “looks inconsistent with natural evolution.” Subsequently became lead author of the “Proximal Origin” paper declaring lab origin “implausible” — a dramatic reversal from his private communications just days earlier.

Dr. Robert Garry

Virologist, Tulane University

Wrote on February 2, 2020 that he “cannot understand how this could have emerged naturally.” Co-authored the “Proximal Origin” paper that subsequently concluded natural origin was most likely and lab engineering was “implausible.”
